Bowles up for the cup

Gary Bowles is expected to make his return from illness when Dorchester
host Bridport in the quarter-finals of the Dorset Senior Cup tonight
(7.45pm).
The defender has missed the last three fixtures due to flu but
could be involved in this evening's clash.
Manager Shaun Brooks said: "On Saturday Gary looked off colour
and a bit peaky but he has trained since and he should be okay for
60 minutes or so."
The Magpies reached the last eight of the competition after beating Dorset Premier League outfit Blandford United 4-0, for which Brooks made several changes and called up five members of the Dorchester Under-18 squad.
However, suspensions and injuries could force the county town boss into fewer alterations this time out.
He added: "Bridport are a lot closer to us than Blandford
in terms of ability and we've got Jamie Gleeson and Danny Clay suspended
as well as four players out injured, those being Jake Smeeton, Roy
O'Brien, Wes Fogden and Ivan Forbes.
"We're not going to load up on Under-18s though. We'll have
a look at things but it'll only be a slightly different team to
the one on Saturday.
"Ryan Moss is suspended for Saturday's trip to Havant and
because we have no chance of getting anyone into the club we might
have to look at one or two things tonight in order to give us that
bit of presence up front."
The Magpies have scored just three goals in their last five outings and Brooks is calling on his players to vastly improve that statistic.
He said: "Defensively we're still doing okay but we're just
not scoring enough goals at the moment. There's no blame attached
to the front two as the midfielders need to chip in as well and
improve the quality into the box."
