Moss makes it a double

Dorchester Town will surely wish they could play Bishop's Stortford
every week - after completing back-to-back victories over the Hertfordshire
side at a rain-soaked Woodside Park.
The Magpies, who beat the Blues in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round the previous weekend, were good value for the three points which lifted them out of the bottom five of the Blue Square South.
Before kick-off, players from both sides lined up in a guard of
honour to mark a special milestone as Stortford's manager Martin
Hayes - the former Arsenal and Celtic star - celebrated 500 games
in charge.
He is the longest serving manager in the league.
The hosts went close early on when Precious Koko just failed to get on the end of a delicious whipped-in ball from Danny Green.
But Dorchester took the lead on 17 minutes. Jamie Gleeson's through
ball found Jamie Mudge and his cross-cum-shot beat a backtracking
Nicky Eyre for pace but was heading wide.
Magpies' striker Ryan Moss refused to give up a lost cause and
beat Eyre to the ball before converting from a yard out almost on
the touchline, as his shot squeezed along the line and found the
left corner.
Dorchester keeper Gareth Stewart made an excellent save from Piers
Wixon's speculative 25-yard effort close to the half-hour mark.
The visitors should have had a second goal 10 minutes before the
break after Blues' skipper Tom Champion gave away possession cheaply.
Wes Fogden beat two defenders as he made his way towards the six-yard line and only a brave block from Stortford keeper Eyre prevented a goal.
The hosts still failed to clear and the ball came back to Danny Clay but he blazed his shot over the bar.
As half-time approached Stewart saved Craig Edwards' long-range
effort but Stortford had an even better chance on 43 minutes. Danny
Harris and Wixon linked up well and the former found himself with
the simplest of chances but somehow missed the target.
The visitors doubled their advantage four minutes after the break
when Fogden's ball beat the statuesque Blues defence for Moss to
run onto. He tucked a low shot from 12 yards across goal and into
the bottom right corner for his sixth of the season.
Nick Crittenden's foul on Liam Hopkins and the Stortford player's
reaction earned both a yellow card on 52 minutes.
Blues' substitute Peter Dean was denied by Stewart with a long-range
effort from the right touchline soon after. But Dorchester continued
to create the best chances and a well-worked free-kick from Mudge
ended with Gleeson's 20-yard strike being tipped away by Eyre on
64 minutes.
At the other end Dean's goal-bound effort rebounded away for a
corner.
Stortford should have found a way back into the match on 72 minutes
from substitute Jason Mason's free-kick. This was flicked on by
Danny Harris to the left post but the unmarked Dean missed a simple
tap-in.
Moss was denied a hat-trick by a great tackle from Blues left-back Ashley Miller, on loan from West Ham United.
Harris headed in on 80 minutes but saw his effort ruled out for
offside while Gleeson was denied a late third for Dorchester when
his shot was blocked on the line by Hopkins following a goal-mouth
scramble.
