The Dorchester Town Supporters Trust are a democratic,
independent, not-for-profit organisation, committed
to strengthening the voice for supporters' in the decision making
process at our club, and strengthening the links between the club
and the community it serves.
The trust is about channeling the passion of
supporters, into a forward-thinking organisation that looks to
the long term offering solutions to the club and community.
On one level our supporters’ trust will act as the guardian
of the future of the football club; if we believe that the club
is being run incompetently and not in the interests of the fans
we will not be afraid to criticise. But, we’re not here to
be relentlessly critical. We are also about helping the club, tapping
into the skills and expertise of our membership and offering solutions
and not just posing problems.
A lot of things change in football; Chairman, Managers and Players,
but the fans remain, so why shouldn’t we be involved in the
big decisions at the football club?
The Dorchester Town Supporters Trust is NOT a supporters'
club. Supporters' clubs serve a vital function at football clubs
up and down the land. But a supporters trust is independent and
aims to gain fan representation at the club, so that the voice
of the supporters' - the lifeblood of the club - is heard and heeded,
while maintaining and upholding the ethics of governance and transparency
in all our dealings at the behest of our membership.
