Dorchester Town have secured the services of Brighton & Hove
Albion's Wes Fogden for another month.
The 19-year-old gave the go-ahead to an extension on his current loan deal despite the interests of another Blue Square South outfit.
Fogden told Echosport: "I'm very happy to stay here another month, it's the right decision at the right time. I could have gone to Havant & Waterlooville but I'm happy at Dorchester and I want to repay the club for the faith they have shown in me and for the games they have given me."
Magpies' director of football Shaun Brooks is delighted to keep the feisty midfielder on board at the Avenue Stadium.
He said: "It's exactly what we wanted, I've been very impressed with his ability and competitiveness since he arrived, he is just the type of player we want at this football club.
"I'm sure Wes will benefit from the deal as much as we will because these things work both ways. He's been one of our better players, if not our best player over the last few games so for him to choose us over other clubs is fantastic."
And Fogden is pleased to hear such positive feedback.
He added: "I've been pleased with the performances I have put in, however, the results have not been great.
"My confidence is growing with every performance and hearing praise from Shaun is an added bonus because as a player you like to feel wanted. It's up to me now to put in as much work as I can for Shaun, the club and the fans."
The teenager has been an important player for Brooks, 526 minutes out of a possible 540 shows just how highly rated the young man is.
Another player who could play an influential role for the county town side is ex-Southampton forward Dani Rodrigues.
Of the recent signing Fogden said: "He looks very good technically and I'm sure his experience will help a lot of us younger players. Hopefully he can help us as we look to turn things around, starting with Welling at home on Saturday."
* The Magpies will entertain Worthing on Saturday, November 24 in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy after the Rebels overcame Walton & Hersham 3-1 in a Second Qualifying Round replay last night.
