Defender's absence down to 'illness'

Dorchester Town defender Nathan Peprah-Annan says illness forced his unexpected absence from Saturday's FA Trophy draw with Worthing.
Magpies' director of football Shaun Brooks says
Peprah-Annan has left the club but the player claimed he had been
told to stay away while he recovered from a bout of flu.
The 19-year-old said: "I have been very poorly for the past
two weeks and tried to carry on training and playing.
"But it came to the awareness of the gaffer and the physio and
it was thought it was best for me to stay at home and recover.
"It is very stubborn flu, a risk to others, so I am on antibiotics."
Peprah-Annan believes the team will start getting results and
move up the Blue Square South league table soon - despite the loss
of star midfielder Charlie Henry to Havant & Waterlooville last
week.
"We all know what a good talent Charlie is and it is a blow to
see him go but that is football for you," said Peprah-Annan.
"Results have not gone the club's way but when you look at performances,
sometimes you need that luck.
"But the team are a bunch of young lads who are gelling together
well and all working hard in training.
"The lads have the backing of the manager, chairman and fans."
