Mitchell hoping to fulfil pledge
by

Dorchester Town owner Eddie Mitchell is hoping more than 1,000 people
attend Saturday's home Blue Square South clash with Bromley - so
he can fulfil his pledge to refund spectators' admission money.
Mitchell has offered the initiative for the Avenue Stadium clash
- which also sees the club offer half-price admission with a voucher
printed in today's Gazette - in an attempt to raise the crowd figures
at the club.
Mitchell said: "It has been one of our targets to get the
crowd up to 1,000 (from an average of 450) and we hope a good performance
from the side (on Saturday) will encourage a more people to come."
Spectators will also be entered into a raffle. First prize is a
pair of tickets for a match at Premier League side Portsmouth and
£100 or a Dorchester Town season ticket.
If Saturday's gate does reach 1,000, supporters can claim back
their money at the main ticket office after the game by presenting
their admission voucher. Patrons, vice-presidents and season-ticket
holders are not included.
