Magpies 'spurned by Yeovil striker'

Dorchester Town continue to be frustrated in attempts to bolster
their squad - and they missed out on a double signing before Tuesday's
home defeat by Bishop's Stortford.
Magpies' director of football Shaun Brooks refused to reveal names.
However, Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade said Dorch missed out
on signing Glovers' striker Wilfried Domoraud on loan.
"I think Wilfried is going to Weston-super-Mare," said
Slade. "Dorchester did come in as well but (former Glover)
Curtis Ujah is there too so I think that was a bit of a pull for
him."
According to a source close to the Magpies, Weymouth attacking
midfielder Conal Platt was the other target.
Brooks said: "We thought we had two front players. One, when
the deal had been all but done, ended up going to another Conference
South club because his mate plays there.
"Another boy had to speak with his agent who is on holiday
for a week to ten days. Most players at this level have agents,
which is beyond me, but the players are governed by them. This particular
agent was aboard so he cost his player the chance of putting himself
in the shop window."
Meanwhile, Magpies' owner Eddie Mitchell has held talks with the
Duchy of Cornwall regarding moving the club to a new ground.
"We gave their architects some options of where the ground
could go and they said they would look at those," said Mitchell.
"But there is a structured plan coming out in August for most
of the Poundbury land, they have to build so many houses and they
do not know how much land is going to be available. We are also
chasing Tesco and looking at certain things we could do with them
but it is very early days there."
