Boss: We showed our true potential

Western Gazetteby Howard Milton

Dorch boss Trevor Senior believes Saturday's win against the Division Two leaders showed the true potential of his side.

Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Dorch embarked on a second-period comeback to claim maximum points thanks to a hat-trick from Chris Clarke and a single from Charlie Lee.

"They realised, thanks to their second-half performance, what can be achieved," said Senior. "(General manager) Phil Basford, (coach) Tony Chutter and I have been saying the same thing each week during the season.

"The players have shown glimpses of it. We have put in a few good performances without the results in some games but Saturday's result shows what can happen when it all comes together.

"I said at half-time 'If we can get a goal against them early on, we can see what they are like under pressure'. The lads got in Eastleigh's faces and did not let them out of their half."

Senior handed a start to under-16 keeper Robbie Williams after regular gloveman Regan Coward was called up to the first team.

Town travel to Forest Green Rovers in the league on Saturday.
