New shirts go on sale this Saturday
by
James Tizzard
Dorchester Town's new home and away shirts will go on sale to the
public this Saturday, co-inciding with the team's South Coast Challenge
Trophy match against local rivals Weymouth at the Jewson Stadium.
Made by Macron - who also supply teamwear for, amongst others,
Leeds United, Swansea City and Italian Serie A side Bologna - this
season's home shirt sees a change to the traditionally black and
white striped design, with a primarily white shirt coupled with
one large black stripe on the left of the torso, and black and white
sleeves.
The first team will wear these shirts with black shorts and white
socks.
The new second strip sees the club return to the sky blue last
worn away from home in the early 1990's following recent flirtations
with both red and yellow change kits.
Featuring a navy blue and white trim, the Magpies will wear this
on the road with either navy blue or white shorts and socks, depending
on a kit clash.
Priced at £35 for adults and £25 for juniors - with
youngsters receiving a free pair of shorts to accompany their shirts,
the Magpies' club shop will have the home shirt in stock this Saturday,
whilst the away design - which isn't currently being held in stock
- can be ordered with a two-week delivery time.
Also available to order is a new line in DTFC training gear emblazoned
with the Magpies' crest. Tracksuits are available at £40,
rain jackets at £30, whilst polo shirts can be purchased for
£17.50. Keep your eye on this website for photos of these
products in the near future.
If you are unable to attend this Saturday's match, or if you simply
want to beat the queues and ensure you get your replica shirt, you
can download the official advance order form from this site today.
All you have to do then is print it out and send it off to the club
with an enclosed cheque for the correct amount. Requests for home
shirts will see your item reserved, whilst away replicas will be
placed on order.
