Exiles return to Dorset
by
Devin Ward
Dorchester Town will face Newport County at home in the 2nd Qualifying
round of the FA-Cup sponsored by e-on.
The draw means the Magpies will face Newport for the third time in just over a month.
The first two games of the season have seen 17 goals and so there will be a high expectation for plenty of goals in the encounter which takes place on Saturday 27th September.
The Magpies will be hoping for a higher crowd that the last encounter which saw just 178 spectators.
The match will be all pay as with all cup matches and the winning team will earn themselves £4,500 so there is a lot at stake.
Dorchester fans will be hoping for a cup run, the last time Dorchester made the 1st round of the FA Cup was 8 years ago when the Magpies travelled to, the now Premiership outfit, Wigan Athletic.
