Brooks blasts players who are not pulling their weight

Dorchester Town manager Shaun Brooks claimed some of his players
"are not pulling their weight" after losing 1-0 at Thurrock and
is determined to bring in new faces soon.
A second-half strike from Che Stadhart was all that separated the two sides but Brooks was more disappointed with the lack of effort from certain members of his squad.
The county town boss, whose team have gone nine Blue Square South games without a win, said: "We did okay in the first half, shaded the chances and defended okay but we simply didn't come out for the second half and there was no threat whatsoever up front.
"I expect more from this group of players and some are not pulling their weight. The minimum requirement is that people put a shift of work in, and some didn't work hard enough.
"As a result there will be some movement this week in terms of personnel. We're not good enough and the league table, after 10 games, shows that. We're not at the level we want to be at. We want players here who will have a go."
One unnamed defender has arrived on trial but, contrary to rumours, it is not Hayes & Yeading's Nevin Saroya.
Brooks added: "The Saroya rumour is complete rubbish, we had a centre-half on trial from London but not Saroya."
Brooks will have to persuade chairman Eddie Mitchell to fund any potential new signings, but that could be a relatively easy task following a third straight defeat in all competitions.
Brooks said: "I spoke to Eddie after the game and he's bitterly disappointed. The club has cost him a lot of money and he puts a lot of work into the club as well so he wants his pound of flesh and for players to come off the pitch shattered.
"And at the moment we've not got 11 players giving it their all to win a game, so it's a problem we need to solve.
"The responsibility lies with me. I want to see the club succeed as there is an amount of talent in the squad but we've got to work harder as a group."
Only three players earned the praise of Brooks, who dropped club captain Patrece Liburd for the clash.
The Magpies' chief said: "Kevin Hill and Gary Bowles were the pick of the bunch, I thought Kevin was outstanding at centre-back.
"It was Wes Fogden's last game for us and during his time he has once again been our best player, we'll sit down with him but the feelings are that he wants to play at a higher level.
"We've conceded too many goals lately so I changed it around and no one can have any comeback about being left out."
