Magpies in Jewson cup showdown

Dorchester Town Under-18s' manager Phil Basford is urging his players
to give "110 per cent" in their FA Youth Cup first qualifying round
clash with Shaftesbury at the Jewson Stadium tonight (7.45pm).
The teenage Magpies have not had the best of starts to the season following two defeats in South West Counties League Division Two.
But Basford is confident they have the ability to cause an upset against a "well-established" Shaftesbury outfit, who compete in the Somerset Floodlight League South Division.
He said: "It's not going to be an easy game as Shaftesbury are a big and physical side.
"Technically, we've got a great bunch of lads and if they play to their full potential then it will be a close game.
"Shaftesbury are a well-established team so we've got to be on top form and give 110 per cent for the full 90 minutes."
The county town side are set to welcome back striker Charlie Lee, after recovering from a back strain, and defender Matt Johnson, who missed Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Richard Huish College with a twisted ankle. However, Dan Spencer and Matt Jones are ruled out with knee problems.
One member of the Magpies' squad will be in high spirits going into tonight.
Basford said: "Daniel Critchel trained with the first-team on Monday and it shows the rest of the lads that if they work hard then the door is always open."
The Under-18s have also received a double sponsorship boost. Basford added: "We've received two donations that have taken us over the £2,000 mark and halfway to the £4,000 we hope to raise this season. H & H Builders and Tommy Godwin have both given us cheques so I'm delighted with that."
Tickets for tonight's match cost £3 for adults while children under-16 gain free entry.
Magpies: Amey, Bernard, Butcher, Carter, Chance, Critchell, Filkins,
Flood, Hopkins, Johnson, C. Kellaway, N. Kellaway, Lake, Lee, Taylor,
