Magpies in stalemate

Dorchester Town Under-18s held Dorset League Division One side Piddletrenthide United to a goalless draw in their latest pre-season friendly.

Magpies’ boss Phil Basford said: “David Boucher’s side were playing their first friendly and they proved to be a much harder test than we expected.

“They had a number of 19 and 20-year-oldswithin their ranks who are also former Dorchester Town Youth players.”

The Magpies have two further pre-season matches planned for this week Portland United at Grove Corner tomorrow and Poundbury Rovers at Cattistock on Thursday.

Both matches kick off at 6.30pm.
