Captain Kev ruled out of away clash

Dorchester captain Kevin Hill has been ruled out of tomorrow's trip to Bromley (3pm).

The defender sustained a foot injury in Tuesday night's goal-less draw with Newport County and will miss tomorrow's Blue Square South clash.

Boss Roy O'Brien is disappointed to lose his trusted skipper, but is hopeful that the 33-year-old will return to action within seven days.

He said: "Hilly's struggling a bit to be honest and he'll definitely miss tomorrow's game, which is something we didn't want to see happen.

"However, we've got people more than capable of filling in for him. It is a blow to lose Hilly but we can only go with what we've got. Hopefully he'll be back in a week's time."

One man likely to win his fitness battle for tomorrow's game is keeper Ryan Northmore, who missed the midweek stalemate with a knee problem.

O'Brien added: "Ryan should be available to play. His injury has calmed down and he's been having treatment. But if he doesn't make it then it's good to know that we've got someone like Regan Coward who is more than capable of filling his boots."

Harry Montacute is available for selection having completed his three-match suspension, as is fellow midfielder Tom Mitchell.

The latter saw red on Tuesday night after headbutting County's Scott Rogers in full view of the referee, but his impending three-game ban has yet to start.

The 15th-placed Magpies lie three spots and one point above tomorrow's hosts, who enter the match on the back of a 6-1 mauling at the hands of Eastleigh on Tuesday.

However, the county town chief is wary of a Bromley backlash. He said: "They got beat 6-1 on Tuesday night so I see them as a wounded animal. We've got to make sure we impose ourselves on the game and work hard to get a result.

"Bromley are not a bad outfit at all so this won't be any easier than our last game, and we can't afford to think otherwise. We just need to focus on ourselves first and foremost.

"Tuesday's draw was a good point and the lads worked hard for it, especially after going down to 10 men. We looked good going forward in the last 30 minutes and we need to try and take that on board tomorrow.

"Ideally I'd like us to start moving up the table so that we don't have to be looking over our shoulder."
