by
Dev Ward
The fans' fundraising effort for the Magpies' Budget Fund has now
reached over £1500 to help towards the club's budget.
"The fund commenced just before Christmas at a time where people are particularly stretched financially but still donations came in regularly."
"We have had donations from all over the world not just locally and that is a massive advantage that promoting the fund on the internet has."
"I would like to thank all the fans that helped and donated, from those who donated online to those who helped and donated at the AFC Wimbledon game."
"If we have helped to save one player until the end of the season then in my view it is worth it, and with the players performing well on the pitch lets hope things stay together."
"I hope Eddie Mitchell sees this as a sign that the fans will help towards the club and provide some non matchday income."
"Although we haven't got up to the desired £20,000, I would like to think it is appreciated by the club."
Matty Holmes helped the fund by donating his signed Premiership shirt which raised £57 towards the fund.
