Dorchester Town have bolstered their ranks with two new signings.
Sixteen-year-old Jamie Symes has joined from Bridport while 23-year-old Steve Devlin, who trialled with the Magpies in pre-season, arrives from Dorset Premier League side Holt United.
Of utility player Symes and midfielder Devlin, assistant-manager Ashley Vickers said: "Jamie puts his foot in and we need players like that. He's slotted in well and the boys have made him welcome.
"He's a promising talent and we look forward to working with him.
"Steve was here at pre-season but work commitments meant he couldn't sign for us then. Things have changed since then and he's joined on non-contract terms for now but I believe he will sign a contract over the next few days."
Asked whether Symes will be loaned back to the Bees, Vickers added: "I believe Roy O'Brien and Trevor Senior are sorting that out between them, but it would be great if we could come to some sort of arrangement."
Dorchester will hold a practice match at the Jewson Stadium today (1pm) alongside the under-18s.
