O'Brien to wield axe

Roy O’Brien has insisted that changes will be made for tomorrow
night’s game after an abject first-half display at Worcester
City on Saturday.
The Dorchester boss saw his side go two goals behind to previously
winless Worcester after just four minutes.
And the match was all but over when Matt Dinsmore added his second
of the afternoon and Rob Elvins made it 4-0 at the break.
Teenage keeper Regan Coward came on at half-time, as did new signing
Ollie Barnes, and the duo helped limit the damage in the second
period.
Asked if there would be any changes made for the home clash with
high-flying Havant & Water-looville tomorrow night (7.45pm),
O’Brien replied: “Definitely. We’ve got a big
game and hopefully we’ll get something from it. We need to
start pulling away from the bottom soon because it can become somewhere
you stay for a long time, and that has been the case at Dorchester
over the last two seasons.
“The players have got to learn their lessons and start performing.”
Reflecting on the heavy defeat to Worcester, who climbed from
rock bottom to 16th thanks to their first win of the Blue Square
South season, O’Brien added: “The linesman gave the
first goal, saying it went over the line, but we thought that was
harsh because Ryan North-more was adamant that the ball did not
cross the line.
“A minute later Dinsmore hit a great effort from 30 yards
which flew into the top corner and at that point the game was almost
dead and buried.
“At 4-0 down at half-time though, the game was definitely
dead and buried. It was a horrendous first half from us and we
made some changes. And to be fair the lads showed some improvement
in the second half.
“Regan came on and made some fantastic saves while Ollie
Barnes came on for his first appearance and he also did well.
“Our away form is a worry but I know we will get it right.”
