Super-sub strikes

Substitute Jon Docker secured what might prove to be a crucial point
for the Magpies in their quest to avoid the drop from Blue Square
South.
The midfielder's late leveller helped Paul Compton's beleaguered troops return from East Anglia with a share of the spoils following an entertaining 2-2 draw at Milton Road.
Included in the Magpies' line-up was former Weymouth keeper Francisco Ramos.
The ex-Benfica stopper was largely unemployed during a tepid first 45 minutes as both sides cancelled each other out in the dazzling sunshine.
The hosts carved out the first chance with on-loan Matty Haniver only inches from converting Ashley Fuller's dangerous ball whipped in behind the visiting defence.
Dorchester countered and Ashley Timms in the home goal had to react smarly, getting down quickly to parry Alex Browne's eighth minute snapshot from distance after Lee Chaffey's half clearance had fallen invitingly on the edge of the penalty area.
The game deteriorated into something of a stalemate and frequently punctuated by the referee's whistle until City went close from a well taken set-piece.
Lee Roache was fouled out on the right and Stephen Smith's teasing free-kick was glanced narrowly wide by Chaffey.
Three minutes later, and in the context of recent results, the Magpies grabbed an unexpected lead.
Makeshift striker Browne was allowed far too much space to advance on goal and, as City defenders backpeddled, saw his effort at goal take a telling deflection to whistle past the helpless Timms and nestle in the bottom corner of the net to the delight of the travelling fans.
At the other end, Ramos was forced to make his only save of the first period.
Josh Simpson poked the ball through a forest of legs and it took a sizeable deflection which the visiting keeper managed to palm over the bar at the expense of a corner.
The Magpies' best moments during the first half had come down the right wing inspired by the impressive contribution of Ivan Forbes, and the pacey wide-man was to figure in what proved to be a turning point on 56 minutes.
Picking up possession on the touchline Forbes ghosted past Craig Radcliffe and Dave Theobald and as the target opened up in front of him flashed a low shot back across goal only for the ball to rebound off an upright and straight to the grateful keeper.
Having survived this scare, and the threat of going two goals down, City levelled on the hour. Roache received Fuller's throw-in and nipped past a defender before crashing a shot which soared past Ramos into the corner of the net.
All of Dorchester's good work appeared to be undone 15 minutes from time when City, by now well on top, marched into the lead.
Smith set Roache away and clear on goal, and as Ramos came off his line to narrow the angle the striker squared for Chaffey who rifled the ball home.
To their credit, Dorchester responded five minutes later when Docker, a surprise substitution for Forbes, stole a march on the home defence after getting on the end of a diagonal ball before tucking his effort under Timms to bring a valuable point back to Dorset.
