Alex signed from local rivals Weymouth in the summer of 2003, where he had played for more than ten years, making over 600 first team appearances and scoring 56 goals.

A key player in the Magpies' defensive line-up, Alex is also Club Captain.

Voted their Player of the Year by both his team mates and the fans for the consistently high standard of his performances throughout last season, Alex has also scored many vital goals, primarily from set pieces.

Appointed as Assistant Manager in June 2008, but left his post on November 10th to become manager of Wessex Premier League side Wimborne Town.
