Ryan is a tall, strong and quick striker who returns to his hometown club after spending two seasons at Southern Premier League side Bashley. Ryan made 98 appearances scoring 42 goals for Bashley and won their Young Player of the Year award in both seasons. He was a long term target of manager Shaun Brooks, who tips him to become a fans' favourite very quickly. Left the Magpies in February 2009 to rejoin Bashley.
