A strong and very experienced defender who can
play in a number of positions.
Roy originally played for the Magpies in the late
nineties before leaving for a professional career with Yeovil Town.
He stayed at Huish Park for almost five seasons, making over 100
appearances and winning consecutive promotions from the Conference
National into League One.
On leaving Yeovil in 2005, Roy was also a Conference
South winner with Weymouth in his first full season.
Rejoined the Magpies on pro contract as a player-coach in July
2007, and appointed team captain in August 2008.
