Nathan Simpson

A left-sided defender who is happy playing at full-back or as a wing-back.

Nathan began his career as a schoolboy with Crystal Palace but was released at the end of the 2005-06 season after a long period of injury.

Had Conference National experience from a spell at St Albans City last season before signing a short term deal with then struggling League Two side Torquay United.

Trialled with the Magpies in pre-season, before eventually signing a non-contract pro deal in October 2007 and was awarded the sponsors' man of the match award on his home league debut against Bromley.

Released in December 2007.
