Announcement: Jason Brookes

June 28, 2026

Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce Jason Brookes has returned to the club as part of our first team management staff.

The popular former Magpies midfielder, who first made his debut at The Avenue back in 2014, will be fondly remembered by many supporters after spending almost six years in black and white across two spells with the club. Away from the first team, Jason also played an important role off the pitch including coaching our Dorchester Town Ability Counts team.

Now a UEFA A Licence qualified coach, Jason has built up a wealth of experience over a number of years through his work with Eastleigh academy and AFC Bournemouth academy, plus a season on the first team staff at Eastleigh in the National League, and ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 season, he has agreed to join boss Glenn Howes’ new first team coaching staff.

On returning to The Avenue, Brookes said: “I'm delighted to be rejoining the club. It's a club that's close to my heart.

“I really liked Dorchester ever since I played here. I had a great time here, there are so many good people at this club and are still here now, which is great.

“I'll be doing my best to help the club get back to where they should be.”

On the opportunity to join the management staff, Brookes added: “My playing time here, I really enjoyed - and ever since then, they're the first result I look for every single time. You just have that affinity with the football club.

“I had some conversations with Glenn over the summer, which were really good, and then there was the opportunity to come in here and do some work with him – and who better to learn from than Glenn, as he's a really good coach and had so much success.

“I'm continuing my journey into coaching and management, and it's a really good place to do that.”

Welcome back Brookesy!
