Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Cameron Murray
The 30-year old midfield playmaker returns to The Avenue Stadium having first played for the Magpies in the 2018/19 season.
Commenting on his return to the Magpies, Murray said: "I am really pleased to be returning to the club which was the beginning of my footballing journey down south. I have some fond memories of that spell and the aim is to create more. I am ready and excited to get going!"
Murray came through the Leeds United academy, but made his Football League debut when with York City. He went on to play for the likes of Scarborough United, FC United of Manchester & Stalybridge Celtic before moving to Dorset in 2018.
Murray played in the black and white for one season, where his high energy displays stood out in a struggling team. His performances attracted the interest of local rivals Weymouth, for whom he went on to enjoy two promotions with. He was signed by Tommy Killick in 2022, initially joining Poole Town on loan, where his dynamic performances were influential in pushing the team into the Southern Premier League play-offs that season. He joined Gosport Borough last season, where his performances for the Hampshire side once again demonstrated his quality at this level.
