Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce Harvey-Joe Bertrand has agreed to return to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Having made over 50 appearances following his debut in 2022, the former Magpies defender is back at The Avenue for a second spell following his departure from Bashley to become boss Glenn Howes' first new arrival of the summer.
Speaking on returning to the club, Bertrand said: "It feels great to be coming back. Even though I was young and still learning I really enjoyed my first spell at the club and have great memories of my time here.
"Dorch is a special club with great people around it, so when the opportunity came up to return, it was something I was really excited about. I’m looking forward to getting started again and helping the team as much as I can."
On working with Magpies boss Howes again, who signed him for the club during his first spell, Bertrand said: "It was a very easy decision. Glenn knows me well and I know what he’s about as a manager.
"After speaking with him and hearing his plans and ambitions for the club, it made the decision even easier. I’m excited to work with him again and be part of what we’re trying to achieve this season and more."
On returning to The Avenue, Bertrand added: "The supporters were brilliant during my first spell here and over the years it’s only got better, til this day I still get messages from a few wondering how I am which feels great, they play a huge part in making the club what it is.
"I can’t wait to get back out at The Avenue, play in front of them again, and give everything I have for the badge. Hopefully we can enjoy a successful season together."
Welcome back Harvey-Joe!
