Dorchester Town Football Club can confirm that Jack Dickson is departing the club this summer.
With over 100 Magpies appearances, JD leaves with the appreciation of everyone at the club for his services in black and white over the past three seasons, and we wish him all the best for the future.
Thank you for everything JD.
A message from JD:
To everyone connected with Dorchester Town,
This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. After being part of the squad that was relegated, I feel a real sense of responsibility, which has made leaving even more difficult.
Dorchester is a fantastic football club and I’ve genuinely loved every minute of my time here. From the fans, to the staff, the volunteers and everyone behind the scenes - it’s a club full of great people and one that I’ll always be grateful to have represented.
A huge part of me wanted to stay and help the club get back to where it belongs. But at this stage of my career, I feel I need to be competing at a higher level, and for that reason I don’t feel ready to step down just yet.
I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported me over the last few seasons. The support I’ve received has never gone unnoticed, and the memories and relationships I’ve made at Dorchester will stay with me for a long time.
I understand some people will agree with my decision and others maybe won’t, but I hope people can respect that this wasn’t an easy choice to make.
Dorchester will always be a special club to me, and who knows what the future holds. I’ll be following the boys closely and wishing everyone at the club nothing but success moving forward 👊🏻⚫️⚪️
Thank you again for everything,
JD
