Dorchester Town Community Football Club are delighted to be welcoming 112 youth teams from across the South West to The Avenue Stadium next weekend on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July.

If you are attending we ask you read the below information carefully.

How to find us:

The Avenue Stadium is conveniently located at the southernmost point of the town, adjacent to the A35. If you are approaching Dorchester from Yeovil (A37) or Wimborne (A35), follow the bypass around the town centre, following signs to Weymouth. At the Stadium Roundabout, take the Weymouth Avenue road towards Dorchester, turning right at the two following roundabouts.

Parking:

We have a limited number of parking spaces at the stadium therefore we ask that people consider sharing cars to the tournament. We will be charging £2 parking on the days of the tournament.

No parking is available at the front of the stadium. If you require special assistance please email us at: tournament@dorchestertownfc.co.uk

Refreshments:

There are two snackbars which will be open inside the ground selling a selection of hot and cold food, drinks and sweets on both days.

Registration:

The team manager or coach must attend the registration/managers meeting which will take place 30 minutes prior to the first game of their age group. Timings are below:

Saturday

U7’s/U8’s 08:30 (8 Minute Games)

U9’s/U10’s 11:15 (12 Minute Games)

U11’s/U12’s 14:45 (12 Minute Games)

Sunday

U13’s/U14’s 08:30 (12 Minute Games)

U9’s/U11’s Girl 13:00 (8 Minute Games)

U13’s/U15’s Girls 14:40 (12 Minute Games)

The meeting will take place adjacent to the home dugout.

Fixtures

Below is a list of all the fixture per age group. Mangers can download these and print them out. There are no programmes or print outs available on the day. Additionally all managers and parents can follow the tournament results live online.

Rules:

A full list of rules has been outlined in the PDF below. However there are a few key areas bullet pointed below:

  • All players and team managers are required to wear the correct footwear for a 2 Star Artificial Pitch.
  • All age groups will field 6 players
  • If a team fails to fulfil a fixture or is at the correct pitch at the time of the scheduled kick off time, three points are awarded to their opponents with a score recorded as 3-0.
  • In the event of a clash of colours, the second named team on the referee’s sheet should provide alternative shirts. Each team should supplier a set of bibs as an alternative colour.
  • If two or more teams finish equal on points for a qualification position, then positions will be decided using the following criteria in this order a) count back b) goals scored c) goals conceded d) penalty shootout (Best of 5).

Stadium Rules

We ask that teams use the terraces around the pitch as basecamps to leave any bags and items. The main stand is to be used for spectators only.

Team Managers:

To all team managers, you have received a separate email containing further information about the tournament as well as our upcoming fixture against Bideford AFC and our summer holiday soccer schools and multi sports camps. Please share with your parents and players.
