Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to confirm Matt Buse has agreed to stay at The Avenue ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Extending his stay with the club for a third season, the central midfielder now has 66 appearances in black and white and was a near ever-present in the side during his debut season as we reached the play-offs. Following a brief loan spell under now Magpies boss Glenn Howes at Gosport Borough in the last campaign, the former Torquay United midfielder is ready to go again for the upcoming season at The Avenue.

On agreeing to re-sign with the club, Buse said: "There’s no getting away from the fact that last season was a really disappointing one for everyone involved at the club. It’s a club full of great people, and they all deserved better.

"This year, promotion is the aim. We can’t hide away from that.

"I want to be a driving force in putting last season behind us, helping this club move forward, and getting it back up."
