Merry Christmas from DTFC

Merry Christmas from DTFC

December 24, 2021

A Christmas message from Chairman Scott Symes:

Merry Christmas from everyone at the club. I hope this message finds you all safe and well as again we are all faced with very challenging and uncertain times.

Over the last few months I feel we have really started to see what the future of the football club looks like in line with our 5 year vision and plan. Glenn and his coaching team have started to implement their plans for the first team and this has seen a significant upturn in our home form and positive green shoots in our away form.

The player development plans also continue to flourish with the U23s and U18s in great form. Just this week we held a first team and U23s mixed game in preparation for Poole Town, and the quality of that game showed that all the hours that everyone puts in to player development is starting to pay dividends.

I must also mention the extremely positive culture that is forming across all age groups of players and coaches at the club, this is critical to ensure we can achieve our objectives this season and beyond.

Off the pitch we are all trying to create that positive environment and culture so that the club can thrive and not just survive, this is only achievable through our volunteers, fans and sponsors and a special festive thank you to you all for your amazing contributions to support our community club.

Have a fantastic Christmas and can’t wait to see you all on the 27th for the Poole game, if it turns out to be the last game for a while let’s all get behind Glenn and the team and make it an afternoon to remember!

Cheers
Scott
