Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Joe Parker.

The 30-year-old arrives at The Avenue Stadium with a wealth of experience, having previously played for Newport County, Gloucester City, Leamington, Chippenham Town and most recently Tiverton Town, where he scored 21 goals in 58 appearances for The Yellows.

Commenting on his move, Joe Parker said: "I am excited to join Dorchester, after speaking with Tommy and getting a feel for the club it made my decision very easy. The club has the ambition of promotion which matches my personal goals and with the heartache of missing out in the playoffs last season hopefully we can go one step further this year! Looking forward to get going."

A delighted Tommy Killick said: "I am very happy to bring Joe to the club. The more successful you are the more difficult it is to improve your squad when it comes to close season recruitment. In acquiring a player of Joe's calibre I think it is definitely going to enhance us. I also feel he is a personality who will fit in well with what we are trying to create in terms of our environment and that is also very important. I am sure he'll enjoy his time with us and it'll prove to be very successful."

Joe began his career with Gloucester City, where his 8 goals in 20 appearances during his debut season, quickly attracting the attention of League Two side Newport County. He made his Football League debut against Cambridge United, but returned to Gloucester two years later. He spent the following six seasons with his hometown club, where he scored 56 times in 174 appearances in the National League North and South.

In January 2020, he joined National League North rivals Leamington for an undisclosed fee where his pacey and direct displays on the wing quickly endeared him to the Brakes faithful. After two seasons in Warwickshire, he returned South, joining Chippenham Town for the 22/23 season, where he finished as The Bluebirds top scorer in the National League South.

Following a short spell back at Gloucester, he joined Tiverton Town on loan in January 2024, where his 11 goals in just 15 appearances were a huge factor in The Yellows escaping relegation. The following season he once again hit double figures as the Devon outfit pulled off the great escape on the final day.

Welcome to The Avenue, Joe!
