Pathway at Dorchester Town FC goes from strength to strength

Following last season’s success for our U23 side, a number of players from that squad will be featuring for the first team in a busy pre-season schedule.

First team manager Glenn Howes is keen to give the players the chance to force their way into his plans and claim a regular first team spot, with U23s including George Calverley, Josh Phillips, Adam Heaton, Josh Baxter, Connor Callow, Marcus Smith, Ben Symes and Brinley Doyle all set to feature.

It follows a season where ten players from the U23 squad made the step up to the first team, resulting in 15 starts and 28 substitute appearances.

In an equally successful season for our U18 side, in which three players made the jump to feature for the U23s during the past year, four players will be making the transition from the U18s to the U23s this upcoming season as part of their individual development, despite still being eligible for the U18s.
