A very warm welcome to the players and supporters of Truro City Football Club, who this weekend will visit the Avenue Stadium for our latest clash in the Southern League Premier Division South (KO 3.00pm).
Ahead of the game, Dorchester Town Manager Glenn Howes has challenged his side to show an “extra determination” than what was on display in our last outing against Chesham United.

Brief history of The White Tigers
Formed in 1889, Truro City became one of the founding members of the Cornwall County Football Association (CCFA). In its first game as a club Truro beat Penzance, winning 7–1.
The White Tigers have won the Cornwall Senior Cup a record 15 times and were founding members of the South Western League in 1951.
In the 2005/06 season, Truro finished runners-up in the South Western League and were promoted to the Western League Division One - becoming champions at the first attempt.
The following season also saw the club win the FA Vase, beating AFC Totton 3-1 in the final.
Since 2010 the club has been promoted into the National League South on two occasions, with their second spell seeing the club remain in the division until the 2018/19 season.
The Gaffer - Paul Wotton
A former professional footballer, Wotton was Plymouth Argyle’s most successful captain as they won two Football League titles in three seasons, during the early 2000’s.
He went on to spend three seasons at Southampton before eventually returning to Argyle, where he was appointed player-coach at the end of the 2013/14 season. He formally retired from playing the following year.
Wotton assumed the managerial reigns at Truro in July 2019.
Ones to Watch
The White Tigers currently rank second for both goals scored and fewest conceded in the league this season.
As such they have a number of key players for Dorchester fans to keep an eye on.
Forward Tyler Harvey is joint-top scorer in the league (19) and has formed a lethal strike partnership with Andrew ‘Rocky’ Neal.
Meanwhile, at the back Dorchester will need to unlock a defence that features former Magpies in the form of Kyle Egan and Charlie Madden.
Form Guide
The Magpies - WWDDL
Dorchester have only lost once in their last seven matches, although that did come in their most recent outing against Chesham.
The White Tigers - WWLWD
Like Dorchester, Truro’s last five game stretch features a loss to Chesham, but that remains their only defeat in the league this season.
Truro’s previous match saw them draw 1-1 at home to Beaconsfield Town.
Last Time We Met...
Earlier this season Truro dispatched the Magpies 4-0 at Bolitho Park, courtesy of a brace each from Neal and Harvey. However the match saw Kieran Douglas play in goal for Dorchester for more than an hour, following a head injury to goalkeeper Brad Snelling.
Magpies Team News
Dorchester captain Callum Buckley (illness) is the only doubt for the Magpies. Olaf Koszela (broken ankle) has now returned to his parent club Torquay United.
