Programme editor Melvin retires

August 12, 2021

Long-serving club programme editor Melvin Cross has stepped down from the role after 23 seasons.

Melvin first started editing The Magpies matchday programme at the start of the 1998/99 season and, aside from a short break, has volunteered to produce hundreds of programmes for all league, cup and friendly matches at The Avenue ever since.

We would like to thank Melvin for his superb service to the club and we are grateful that he will continue keeping the club’s records and statistics.

We are also pleased to confirm Tom Berry has agreed to take over as our new programme editor ahead of the new season.
