Post-match reaction from player/coach Will Spetch after our 1-3 away win at SC Inkberrow this afternoon to make it ten league wins on the bounce and send the Magpies back on top of the table:
Firstly, I just want to thank all the incredible fans who made the long journey today. Your support never goes unnoticed!
Another massive 3 points today, making it 10 wins on the spin! Whatever level of football you play, that is some achievement!
Performance-wise, I felt we started really slowly in the first 20/25 minutes and, once we went 1-0 down, we had to regroup. The lads showed real desire and determination to get ourselves back into the game and grab that equaliser.
Once we scored, I felt we settled into the game well and started to find our rhythm.
With the weather conditions as they were, we always knew the second half was going to play into our favour. It was as simple as getting the ball forward, having the hunger to win those first and second balls, and then playing our football higher up the pitch.
10 wins on the spin and top of the league after 11 games!
I am so proud of the boys. The togetherness, fight and desire we are showing as a team are absolutely first class.
Long may it continue!
