Post-match reaction from boss Leigh Robinson following our FA Trophy victory against Gosport Borough this afternoon:
“Having seen the news this morning we knew that this would likely be our last game for a while and therefore we were all really keen to go into this enforced break with a win.”
“We created some good chances today but were a bit affected by two defenders going off injured which meant we had to re-shuffle a bit throughout the game. I was a bit concerned we only had one attacking substitution in the can if we needed to chase the game but luckily we got our noses in front and we’re able to see it through.”
“In fairness to the players, we had a terrible day at the office last Saturday but they have reacted really well since, with a good performance on Tuesday and a good win today so all credit to them.”
