Dorchester Town Football Club can confirm that long-serving defender Tiago Sa is leaving the club for an extended period to go travelling across South Asia.
After originally making his debut on loan in September 2018, Tiago then signed permanently the following summer going on to make 125 appearances in black and white and becoming a mainstay in the Magpies No 3 shirt.
Speaking post-match after the win over Didcot Town, first team coach Brian Churchill said: "What a servant he has been - the amount of appearances he's put in for Dorchester, and every performance has been a 7 or 8 out of 10 for us."
"We are sorry to see him go, but it's been a long time in the planning that he's off travelling around Asia."
"All the team and management want to dedicate that win today to Tiago and wish him the best of luck on his travels."
Everyone at the club would like to thank Tiago for his service and efforts over the past five years, and we’re hopeful of his return when Tiago is back home next year.
