Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Harvey Wright following his departure from Wimborne Town.
Wright trades the Magpies for the Magpies after an impressive season which saw him win the club's player of the season award, following his move from Poole Town last summer. Wright also won Poole's player of the season gong prior to his departure. Tommy Killick, whom Wright played under at Poole, said he was delighted to get his man.
He said: "Harvey is a top signing and someone I know well. He is a great defender and a really solid character. It’s so important to have a powerful defensive base to the squad and I feel we have that.
"I didn’t think I would be able to persuade him to come over, but he is an ambitious lad and wants to push for promotion and I know he can help us do that."
Wright, who also previously enjoyed spells at Hamworthy United and Christchurch, said: "I'm delighted to have signed for Dorchester, and am pleased to be joining some familiar faces and meeting all involved at the club. I am very much looking forward to the new season ahead."
Welcome to the club, Harvey!
