Dorchester Town Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of defender Jordi Foot on a one-year deal.
A former captain of The Magpies U23 side, the highly-rated 18-year-old defender - who can operate at full-back or centre-back - returns to the club having spent spent a successful season with Shaftesbury and has started all four of our pre-season friendlies so far.
First team coach and U23 boss Brian Churchill said: “Jordi’s come through our U23s and developed really well. He’s gone away and played 55 or so games for a Wessex League side last season and really shone.”
“He’s matured from a football point of view and from a physical point of view too – everyone can see that out on the pitch, and he’s going to be a player for Dorchester this season and the future."
“We’re really happy to get Jordi signed on as we know quite a few clubs were looking at him. We feel the best place for him to develop is at Dorchester and we’ll do everything we can to assist that. I know he’s got high aspirations, so we’re hoping to fulfill that with him.”
Welcome back Jordi!
