Dorchester Town Football Club are pleased to announce that captain Ashley Wells has agreed to stay with The Magpies ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The versatile defender joined the club on a permanent deal at the start of last season, having initially had a brief loan spell at The Avenue in 2019.
Boss Robbie Herrera said: “Ashley is experienced, he's one of the older boys in the group and I’m looking for him as our captain to be someone to look up to and help the younger players on because we’re going to be a young squad.”
“He reads the game well, his positional play is good and he understands the game, so I'm hoping he’ll continue to help us improve and improve some of the players around him as well.”
