Will Spetch retained

Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to confirm captain Will Spetch has agreed to stay at The Avenue ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Back to extend his stay for his fourth season with the club since arriving at The Avenue in 2023, our club captain has nearly reached a century of appearances in black and white in the heart of the Magpies defence, scoring 13 goals in that time - including that memorable last gasp injury-time header at Hungerford on the final day of the season before last.

Speaking on his decision to commit to the club ahead of the new campaign, Spetch said: "I’m absolutely delighted to be part of this football club for another season, which I now call home!

"After last season, it could have been easy for me to walk away and earn better money in a higher league, but I feel a massive part of the reason why this football club is where it is now.

"I’m determined as ever to get this football club straight back up."
